    Have you ever heard about the idiom :"work like a dog"? Do you know what it means?

    Whenever I think of it, I can't help being a little sad while proud. There is no doubt that work is important for me and gives me the sense of empowerment and independence,which also arouses my creativity. I spend my highest-energy hours working.That's why I am proud of my work.

    However, sometimes I have to work overtime. It's a general rule for some ones to stay up all night for work,then to be dog tired .You know the feeling:Getting out of bed Monday moring is a struggle,followed by five long,bleak days.But Most of us can't just quit our jobs.

    This places us on the horns of a dilemma.

    So today let's talk about our job and overtime work.

    Honestly speaking, overtime work is not a bad thing as long as employers give their employees enough compensation. In reality, however, many employers are unwilling to make such payments and make different excuses to avoid doing so, which really hurts employees financially and emotionally.

    每次想起它，我总是忍不住自豪中透着一点哀伤。毫无疑问工作对我而言是很重要的，它给了我施展自己的空间，培养了我的独立性，激发了我的创造力。我将自己最富于激情的时间度全都用在了工作上。这也是我为之自豪的原因。

    可是，有时候我又不得不加班。对很多人来说，加班熬夜是家常便饭，常常累的筋疲力尽。我相信你知道那种感觉：周一早上挣扎着起床，一想到又是5天漫长、惨淡的生活，忍不住让人哀伤。可是我们又不能随便辞职。

    这真是一个进退维谷的状况。

    因此今天我们就来讨论一下我们的工作和加班。

    说实话，加班并不是一件很糟糕的事情，只要老板能给出足够的加班工资。可实际上，很多老板并不愿意付钱，并为此找出各种各样的理由，这对员工而言是经济和精神的双重损害。

Work is just a part of our daily life,not the whole life .It's a tool to realize youself,your dream .On the other hand, there's many other things more important than work.Whenever and wherever you should strike a balance between work and life.
It's a key to a meaningful and coloruful life.

28th august is my birthday , usually i work hard , but i`m not a dog , for example ,yesterday i leave the work to play majiang and have dinner with my close friend.

"work like a dog"?I just believe we take too much time to work and to make money,there are something else that we shoud pay attention to.

Usually,I get off my work on time.I don't want to overtime,because my company dosen't pay for the money and the working time is too long for me.In fact ,the main reason is that I am too tired for my job. In a word, I will try my best to finish my work in order to get off my work on time.

I am not in work now,but i do don't agree with overtime work.Frankly speaking,working between formal time is OK.I don't think we have so much energe to do so many things.And also,we need time to relax ourselves.such as talk with your families,your friends,and something yourself care about.That all need your time.

I am a high school student. But i want to say we shouldn't work just for work because that will make us lose passion of life,without which we even can't gain the pure joy which dogs have.That's why I hate the boring working life which begins at 9AM and ends at 5PM everyday.however,it's just my personal opinon. if you like the work(not job）,the case will completely be different.Maybe i am childish ,but i never want to get my heart tired ,really.

Usually,I get off work on time.I only need work overtime for some unique feature.NO pay for work overtime,but i think it's necessary to work overtime sometime.

I am a new college graduate，and now I do my first jod. It seldom need to work overtime.But I have no idea that if I love my job. I just repeat the work everyday. It confuses me. Anyway,I don't think that we should "work like a dog". It should be "working for life,not living for work."

I don't like my job. I worked in a company which have a intensive finanal. Our boss ask us do overwork everyday, but without overwork pay. Besides this, our salary can't be given in time every month. I want to quit my job. I am very very tired now.

i am a student,my job is learning. many students and i often study overtime,this is so hard and no pay,but we must do it.i often learnd that we must have confidence and passion if we want to do something well.

maybe you are right.but sometime work only for eating .in fact when i grauated ,i only want to have a job ,although it is not suitable for me .but i also stict to ,sometime bad luck ,and bad mood . i what to use this worktime to change experience to change suitable work for me ,but it's diffcult for non-experiencer when have much overtime to wait do nothing ,do you still like overtime study hard ,then change the work ,had a work which i will be favorite overtime.

I often work overtime,we have the overtime pay,but sometime I'm not for the pay,I just stay in the office to prepared for tomorrow jobs.Or to study what I want,most of the time I enjoy my job,anyway every work has different difficulty,but no pay no gain.

I have ever had that job. Actually the job brought me the achievability,but I paid my health instead,and I bore the ache every day. Finally I gave up because I didn't like overtime work at all.

my job is what i hope , i don't work overtime often ,but i willing to work overtime between times because when off duty i like to think something myself at my office.i think we are busy when on duty and it's necessary to clean up our thinking off duty, so we can improve ourselves constantly,and that will not"work like dog".

To be honest,in fact, I did love my job,but maybe these days i am so busy that I am a little depressed about overtime work.

yes,i share your idea,but,i think, the destination of our llives is being happy everyday,so, if the job can give you the feeling of pleaure or joy, then,that is ok even "overtime", or, you should consider to change another job which make you comfortable and relaxed, i think so.
